I have just uploaded a new video tutorial to my YouTube channel showing you how to create this versatile Wreath of Flowers card image. I love it because you can use it for virtually any occasion.
When I first started creating watercolor art in April, 2016. Yes, only a little over a year ago I picked up my first stamp and marker after seeing some really cool projects on Pinterest. I decided I could do that. So here I am creating another video on how to make this wreath of flowers from Art Impressions using only 2 stamps and 4 markers.
I started watching videos from Art Impression owner Bonnie Krebs channel every week for her series Watercolor Wednesday’s. She walks you through easy to make projects step-by-step.
The wreath technique was one that I learned from my friend Kendra Krebs. She shows you not only how to do this technique but also some really great beginner videos and tips. I just love her style and all of her videos. She even goes a step further and decorates plates and cookies…yup COOKIES!!!
Now on to this project.
Before I started the project I cut the watercolor paper to the size I wanted to use on the front of my card (5 x 3 3/4). This size allowed me to have a 1/4 inch mat border (5 1/4 x 4) around my picture. I placed this entire panel on my white card base (8 1/2 x 5 1/2).
I used a congrats die to make the congrats sentiment on the front of the card. I cut it out 5 times and glued all of them together to give the sentiment some depth. I attached it to the middle of the heart.
Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you have a crafty day!!
