I am so excited to share this sweet Church on a Cliff watercolor project with you.
I love to use my watercolor stamps in ways that they weren’t necessarily made for. Case in point, my bush stamp. This is generally used to create, well bushes, LOL. I used it not only to create bushes but to also create texture in the clouds and waves in the water. I had never created waves or clouds with the stamp before so I wanted to try it out and boy am I glad I did. I just love how they came out.
I stamped the Church with African Violet and added Sepia to the roof. I then used my stamp positioner and stamped the cliff (I stamped it twice to extend it a bit). I added a little Tombow 873 and 947 to add some variation to the cliff.
I used the Olive Green to add grass to the cliff and trees in the background. I added flowers using Magenta to the church.
I used 3 shades of blue (Salvia, Manganese and Blue) with the bush stamp in order to create some movement in the water. I used Mocha and my positioner to add the fence to the cliff. I added a bush to the left side of picture.
I had so much fun creating this project that I did a video on it. If you would like to learn how to watercolor with stamps, take a peek at my YouTube Channel and follow along. I would love to see what you create!
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a crafty day!!
