Hi Watercolor Fans, Happy Almost Fall! It is one of my favorite seasons here in New England. I thought I would welcome all the things that make me feel fallish and put them on a card. I added the Blessed & Grateful sentiment at the bottom which I find is pretty perfect for those Thanksgiving cards.

Welcome Back! Thanks for spending some creative time with us. This project came about after watching Bonnie’s video using 2×2 squares to create a scene. I thought it would be harder to create a smaller scene but it turned out to be way easier. I used the Peeking Animals set and a few other stamps to create these cute gift card tops. I wrote in the sentiments, so again they can be used for any occasion.

Hi Watercolor Fans! Welcome back to another watercolor weekend and ANOTHER fabulous release. I chose to do a simple scene using the new ROCKS and POND sets. Here is my Simple Things card. This card is so versatile it could be a masculine card, birthday, sympathy or virtually any type of card you can think of. Welcome watercolor fans to this weekend’s watercolor weekend here on the Art Impressions Blog. We are so thankful you stopped by to see all the inspiration that we have in store for you. This weekend I chose to get out my Floral Invites set and have a bit of fun. I created this Floral Thank You card with the frame and two of the side sprays. I love creating cards with this set, and you don’t have to use it for invites, you can use it for everything!

So our challenge this week was to create a quick and easy card. This one looks difficult but it was really easy. Sometimes I find myself creatively challenged when it comes to colors. Sometimes I do so many colors it overwhelms the painting. For this quick and easy project, I used only three colors for the flowers. In order to vary each flower arrangement, I used each color on different flowers. This worked out well with my three square layout. It created interest while maintaining an overall together look.
