Sleeping Fawn | Watercolor Weekend | Art Impressions

Welcome to another Watercolor Weekend Roundup.  Can you believe it is already August?  This weekend I decided to take a painting I did a while ago and make it into a card.  I think I posted this sleeping fawn on Instagram.  This is one of those simple but satisfying projects that doesn’t take a long time.  I love that I can pretty much put any sentiment on it and it works.  For this one, I decided to go with “Thinking Of You”.

Mushroom Turtles | Watercolor Weekend | Art Impressions

Welcome to watercolor weekend in the middle of World Watercolor Month…woo hoo!!!  I have a fantastic way to stretch your stamps, I took my mushroom stamps from the Art Impressions Elves set and turned them into Sea Turtles

I am so excited to have a new video to share with you.  I was sitting at home (of course) on my deck, dreaming of sea turtles (I told you…on the brain, I may need a Caribbean vacation or something), and  I thought of my Art Impressions stamps and what I could use to create them.  Then it came to me, mushrooms.  They are the perfect shape.  So needless to say, the creative juices started flowing and I was on my way.  I decided to go straight to my office and film my vision onto the page.  It was quite an interesting process.  I had the idea in my head and then it just clicked.  I went upstairs and thought, if I am going to do this I better film it because it will never be so organic, so I did.

All in all, even with my perceived chaos, I think I like it even more than my voice over videos.  I really hope you enjoy the video and I really encourage you to not only try this scene but also to think about all of your stamps in other ways.  It’s a way to get the biggest bang for our buck and I am all in for that!

So, this along with my video is a little different but in these times of uncertainty it feels good to be able to put a little color and peace in the world.  It is my therapy in more ways than I can begin to explain.  I appreciate all of you and I wish you all heath, safety, love and creativity.

Have a great weekend!  Make sure you tag me on instagram so I can see what you are up to.

New Video!! Baby Girl Hanging Planter | Art Impressions

FINALLY!  I have a new video up.  My GoPro camera which I use to film is MIA.  I decided to take my sons GoPro and give it a whirl.  It’s different than my usual videos which I voice over.  It can be quite a long process from start to finish.

I decided to film a video to show how I created this cute baby card.  I hope you like it and I hope to get more out in the future.

Happy Crafting!
