Hello AI Watercolor Fans!! I am so excited to join the Watercolor Guest Design Team for the AI Watercolor Wonders Challenge with my Easter Wishing Well project.
Art Impressions has a huge roll out of new stamps that, as usual, are just FANTASTIC! I am so excited to share my art with you and hope you will take a chance and submit your work for a chance to win a gift certificate to the store to get some of your own sets to play with.
Introducing the new Wishing Well, Foliage 3 and Mini Flowers stamp sets. These are amazing sets and when I saw them I knew they would be some of my favorites going forward. I also grabbed a sentiment from the Easter Blessings stamp set. I also have a video for you if you want to watercolor with me.
Easter Wishing Well Card Details:
I started off by using a Spellbinders oval die and a pencil to lightly mark a border.
Main Image
Using African Violet and Sepia, I stamped the Wishing Well in the middle of the oval. This gives a perfect gray color for the well. I pulled the color out of the lines and added some additional color from my palette.
Foliage & Flowers
The Foliage set 3 has this beautiful vine that looks like a climbing bush. I can already picture many scenes using this stamp. Olive green is the perfect spring color for all the foliage in this project. I also used one of the new small foliage stamps in the set behind and to the right of the well. Who can forget about the tried and true grasses, which I use in almost every project. I softened the lines and stamped the flowers (they look like 3 hearts) in Magenta all around. I love this stamp (can you tell I love all these new sets?).
Finishing Touches
Now to move on to the swag on the top and bottom of the oval. This is where the pencil line is key as I used it as a guideline for placement of my flowers and foliage. Next, I started out with the mini flower in Olive green (used it like foliage). I added another of the mini flowers inked in Sepia and Pink. Then I added some leaves from the foliage 3 set and finally the heart flowers in Prussian Blue (one of my favorite colors).
I used the Grey marker and Black copic multiliner to trace along the pencil line to create a border. I stamped the Easter Blessing sentiment using Versafine Black Ink. Lastly, I added a bit of Wink of Stella to the Well.
The Card
I cut the piece down to 5.125 x 3.875 and adhered it to piece of Gina K Designs Dusty Rose card stock cut to 5.25 x 4. I adhered the entire piece to a card base of 11 x 4.25.
Here is another variation of this card. This is the one that I filmed. I used a “Happy Birthday To You” sentiment from Gina K Designs. I mounted it on a piece of Navy card stock.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope my Easter Wishing Well gives you inspiration to get out your stamps. Please check out the other team members projects on the AI Challenge Blog Post. I hope you consider playing with your stamps and joining in with the Challenge!

Fantastic video. Making correction was very helpful. Great idea.
When I found AI Water Color Series of stamps & techniques I thought I was in heaven. I watch all the video tutorials and have decided AI is for me! The new sets are really nice. Thanks for showin’ us how to use them!
At first glance it looks like part of the oval is actually cut out, looked like a layered card. I love this card, beautiful!
