Hey Art Impressions Fans! I shared this card on Instagram as part of #thedailymarker30day challenge. Today I thought I would share with you how I put this Watercolor Valentines Heart card together using Art Impressions stamps and some heart dies. I love the look of the wreath heart within the wonky hearts die from Simon Says Stamp.
Watercolor Valentines Heart Card Details:
I started off by laying down the large and middle hearts from the wonky hearts die set. I used a pencil to lightly draw around both dies onto my watercolor paper . This will give me a guide for my watercolor heart.
Using the daisy bunch from the flowers set, I inked it up with brilliant yellow and terra cotta and stamped it around the heart. I softened the flowers with my brush and water. I added the vine around each of the blooms with my olive green. I again softened the vines. Finally, I inked the small flowers up with pink and stamped them randomly and softened them.
I cut the heart out with the large wonky heart die as well as a piece of Dusty Rose cardstock from Gina K Designs. I rubbed dusty rose ink around the outside of the heart. I offset the colored cardstock above the watercolor piece. I adhered it to a card base from Neenah Solar White cardstock.
To add more interest, I used a copic multi-liner to add dots and dashes around the heart.
I stamped the Happy Valentines Day sentiment (from the In the Air stamp set) in Versamark Black Ink. I cut the hearts with my Clipping Heart die from Simon Says Stamp from some Neenah white cardstock (80 lb). I colored them with the same Marvy markers that I used on the flowers. I think used my wink of stella pen to ask some shimmer and shine. I adhered them randomly around the card.
